Wow, it’s November already. I blinked, and suddenly 2025 has only two months left. Two. Months. Left. How did that happen? I swear, wasn’t it just March yesterday when I was still promising myself I’d start exercising “next week”? I really should start tomorrow!
This afternoon, my husband and I went to Gedung Kesenian Jakarta to watch the Abang None Jakarta performance. We went to support our dear friend, Kak Maudy Koesnaedi, with Geng Ijo. The script was originally written by another Geng Ijo member, Kak Swastika Nohara, a movie screenwriter.
When we arrived, we got our seats thanks to Grandis and Vina, and guess who sat right in front of us? Bang Rano Karno. Yep. The Vice Governor of Jakarta, also the very man who played Doel, the husband of Zaenab, played by none other than Kak Maudy herself. It’s like a reunion of characters, only this time, we’re extras. 😅
For two hours, we were entertained by a beautiful theater show blending drama, dance, music, and even martial arts. It was about heroes, both past and present. The moment that truly moved me was when the guest singer performed Indonesia Tanah Air Beta. The hall fell quiet, and suddenly, everyone was united by the same tender love for our homeland.
After the performance, of course we took a photo with Kak Maudy. She was glowing, graceful as always.
But no time to linger too long, because parent life calls. We rushed off to Bintaro to pick up our youngest. She had joined Azzam, Mbak Fit’s eldest son, for a launch event. They were promoting chicken sausages with no flour, no MSG, no preservatives. Healthy and apparently, delicious. Turns out, they sold a lot and even got some bonus goodies. She proudly told us all about it in the car, excitedly.
Next we pick up our eldest and then head to Gyugogi Japanese & Korean Charcoal Grill to celebrate her birthday. We got seated in the VIP room, and here’s what we ordered:
Gyugogi Funamori Hikari (700gr)
Gyugogi Kale Salad
Japanese Rice Large
Green tea (unlimited refill)

We went home with full belly, full hearts, and full of laughters.
Sometimes, I think the older I get, the more I understand that time isn’t really speeding up. It’s just that we’re becoming more aware of how precious it is. Maybe that’s what people mean when they say life moves fast. It’s not the years that pass. It’s us, finally noticing them.
And maybe that’s why November feels both nostalgic and kind. Because somewhere between busy schedules and growing kids, we realize we’ve been living the very moments we once prayed for.
So here’s to the days that blur together, the drives that feel endless, and the dinners that turn into memories. May time keep flying only because our hearts are full.
