Mentoring Bisnesia and Rempah Restaurant (Abu Dhabi and Dubai)
Today my husband and I went to Kitchenette for a mentoring session with Juan and Sean, the founders of Bisnesia. We’re sipping our drinks, tossing ideas back and forth, and in the middle of it our eldest daughter called. She had finished class and would walk over to meet us.
Before heading home, we dropped by at Boost juice booth. They had a birthday promo: get a free juice of ANY size just by installing the member app and making one purchase. So my daughter bought one juice for thirty-nine thousand and claimed the free one worth sixty-nine thousand. Not bad!
When we got home, we sat down for eating together. Nothing glamorous. Just warteg food I’d bought yesterday. We intentionally skipped eating at the mall because we needed to finish it all today since we’re going on staycation this weekend.
A few hours later, we had online mentoring session. This time with Mbak Ayu Hadi, founder of Rempah, a restaurant in Abu Dhabi that already has two branches. She’s now preparing to open a new branch in Dubai! I'm so happy to hear and so proud of her!
Mentoring always leaves us quietly fulfilled. Helping someone shape their ideas and watching their confidence grow in real time is recharging. It reminds me that we all move forward because someone, somewhere, shared a bit of their experience with us; and now it’s our turn to do the same.
By the way, one of my posts in instagram feed gone viral today, thanks to media darling Pak Purbaya 😄 I took the video at Ideafest, when an audience asked how Pak Purbaya manage household money. He funnily answered: "at home we have no power" as he said that all his money was managed by his wifey 😂
So many "media" took my video without credit, let alone permission. There's only one media that asked for my permission: Tirto.id . Yes, the same media that the only one interviewed me when I went viral as "Istri Direktur" back in 2016. I'm glad that they keep their integrity.
