The morning kicked off with a serving of unnecessary drama between our apartment management and the tenant in one of our properties. Basically, the tenant threw their trash in the hallway, got reminder by management, and then threw a huge tantrum. To make matters worse, one of the management staff completely mishandled it: throwing baseless accusations and even dragging in some of their own internal office drama that had absolutely nothing to do with us! For the sake of my own peace of mind, I just went ahead and blocked that staff member on WhatsApp. Bye, toxic vibes!
But of course, a little morning drama wasn’t going to stop me from getting my workout in! As usual, I hit the gym with a Caroline Girvan workout on YouTube. Honestly, being a little fired up actually made me push harder! It was the perfect emotional outlet to lower those cortisol levels, haha.
I worked out for about 30 minutes, then hit the sauna for a steamy 20 minutes, followed by a relaxing 20-minute dip in the jacuzzi whirlpool. I wrapped up the whole self-care ritual with a 20-minute cold shower and hair wash. All in all, I spent a solid hour and a half there, and I came out feeling incredibly refreshed!
I had to rush back to the apartment because I was on a tight schedule and hadn’t even had time for lunch yet. Thank goodness my husband's meeting got pushed back by 30 minutes! It gave us just enough time to sit down and eat in peace. We went with a Yoshinoya set meal, scored with a handy TikTok discount voucher, of course. 😉
After that, we zoomed out from our South Jakarta apartment to the SCBD area. For some completely unknown reason, my husband decided to take the most expensive and out-of-the-way toll route, even though we had plenty of time! Because of the lack of traffic and not hitting a single red light, we ended up arriving 30 minutes early... and I didn’t even get a chance to put on my eyeliner in the car. Ugh!
Anyway, while hubby went off to his meeting, I met up with my besties, Detha and Antie, at Rumarasa Nusantara (which used to be Omah Sendok). We skipped the small talk and got straight to the juicy gossip! We’ve known each other since our teenage years, and here we are in our 40s (creeping up on 50!), still chatting and laughing exactly like we used to, lol.
Before we knew it, over three hours had flown by! My husband wrapped up his meeting, came to pick me up, and we all went our separate ways. Antie headed back with Detha, whose house is just a stone's throw away from there, while hubby and I hit the road again... this time, to BSD! Yes, tonight was our scheduled DATE night.
Usually, our DATE meetings are held at the DATE Leader's house or in a friend's apartment function room. But this time, we had a "food outing" instead, and the chosen spot was Krispy Pork Playground! It was recommended by Debby and exactly what I had requested, hahaha. We definitely made the right choice because every single dish we ordered was incredibly delicious! I'm already planning to come back and bring the kids next time.
xoxo, @nuniektirta
