This morning started off with a busy but heartwarming vibe. My youngest daughter headed off to campus for her classes, and her older sister decided to tag along to catch up with a friend there. Before the morning rush completely took over, my youngest actually took the time to whip up a delicious meal for the four of us. It was such a nice treat, and it totally saved us from having to buy food out.
After we wrapped up lunch, my hubby and I decided to tackle some lingering home projects. We rolled up our sleeves, did some deep cleaning, and finally managed to install that new storage rack right above the fridge. Nothing beats the feeling of a freshly organized space!
With the chores checked off my list, I happily slipped back into my favorite self-care routine. I treated myself to the full works: a good sweat session at the gym, relaxing in the sauna, soaking in the jacuzzi, and wrapping it all up with an icy, refreshing cold shower 🚿.
By 4:00 PM, I transitioned to my afternoon reading ritual. I found my usual spot on the poolside bench, and it was so incredibly peaceful and quiet that I accidentally dozed off again. Honestly, those poolside naps are the absolute best.
At 5:00 PM, we had a meeting with developer's marketing team for collaboration program with my community #WomanInHer40s and our community #Startuplokal. Can't spill anything yet but it's gonna be exciting!
Around 7:30 PM, my husband, our youngest, and I ventured out to grab some Nasi Padang for dinner. It really hit the spot, and you can't complain when it only costs 88,000 IDR to feed three people!
BTW, have I mentioned this to you guys yet?
For the past few days, I’ve officially been on my annual social media detox. I went ahead and completely uninstalled Instagram, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, and all those other apps that constantly drain my time.
I realized I just need to focus on my true priorities right now and fiercely protect my mental health, especially with how chaotic and overwhelming the news has been lately. It has been incredibly refreshing.
I am getting so much more done, and ironically, logging off has made me feel far more genuinely connected to the real people right in front of me! Have you ever tried doing a full social media detox yourself?
Xoxo,
