Good Mood Wednesday

I started my day bright and early at 6 AM, heading down to the jogging track for a morning walk. The sunrise was absolutely gorgeous, and the weather was so clear, as bright as my heart <3 I managed to get a few thousand steps in during that one hour, which was a great way to kick things off.

After that, my husband and I grabbed brunch at The People's Cafe. We used a TikTok voucher and got Nasi Gila for the two of us for only around 70k IDR. Such a win! We then hopped on the train to head to our meeting at Agora. Since we arrived way too early, we decided to chill at Starbucks for a bit and took advantage of their 59k promo for a cappuccino and a croissant. Honestly, another steal deal!

When it was time, Ms. Lia, Mr. Thomas's assistant, picked us up to go upstairs. We were greeted by Mr. Thomas Sugiarto at FP One, the owner of the venue. Not long after, Felicia and Henri joined us. They are a married couple we just pointed out as our StartupLokal apprentices for the events division, considering their solid background as professional event organizers.

The main agenda for today's meeting was to introduce everyone so they can coordinate directly regarding the venue needs for the StartupLokal Comeback event scheduled for November 26th! Since my husband and I will be in the UK in September and then Japan in October, they'll be handling the on-ground coordination while we're away. Hopefully everything runs smoothly!

After the meeting wrapped up, Henri and Felicia invited us for an early dinner at Su Wah, and oh my goodness, it was delicious. It turned out they were treating us this time to return the favor from when we treated them at Kyochon previously. Thank you so much, guys! We didn't even realize how much time had passed; we ended up chatting from around 4 PM all the way until almost 9 PM! We shared so many life stories and experiences, basically from us, the 45-year-olds, to them, the 25-year-olds. :)

We finally headed home on the train, which was surprisingly still pretty crowded. At the station, we bought some sweet iced tea, and I spotted a lady selling fresh flowers. She had sedap malam (tuberose), and of course, I just had to buy some! I am absolutely obsessed with the scent of tuberose. I basically kept smelling them the entire train ride and all the way home, haha.

There was a tiny bit of drama about an apartment AC where a tenant actually cursed us (crazy, right? Renting for only 2 million a month with maintenance and water included, but still having the audacity to curse at the owner...). But thankfully, it didn't bother me at all because my mood had been fantastic since the morning :)

Pacaran Minggu Ini

Semalam, putri pertama kami (9,5 tahun) melakukan ritual bersih-bersih sebelum tidur: mencuci muka dengan sabun pembersih wajah, sikat gigi dan mengoleskan body lotion, etc. Melihatnya, suami berkomentar: “Kok sekarang ritualnya banyak amat sih?” Putri pertama kami spontan menjawab: “Ya namanya juga mau remaja” Sontak suami dengan lebaynya merespon, “Huaaaaaaaa! Perawatan wajah dan cerita masa muda

Andaikata blog dan social media saya punya semacam FAQ (Frequently Asked Question, alias pertanyaan yang paling sering ditanyakan), sudah pasti di urutan pertama akan bertengger pertanyaan: "Pakai produk perawatan wajah apa?" I just had family holiday at Club Med Bintan, on 14-17 December 2017. To be frankly honest, it was way more fun than I expected as a short weekday getaway. We kicked off the day heading over to Alam Sutera to pick up a few things at Vintage Vibes before making our food pilgrimage to Porky’s in Gading Serpong.
