I started my morning making time for the gym. It was kinda combo session: heavy HIIT and strength training courtesy of a Caroline Girvan workout. Total burn, but it felt amazing to start the day with that much energy. Here’s a quick pre-outing OOTD check before things got crazy!
For lunch, my husband and I headed over to meet with Pak Dedy Dahlan and his wife, Bu Intan. It was a really productive session. We spent hours exploring potential collaborations involving MBTI training and affiliations with Startuplokal. It’s always exciting when ideas just flow. A huge shoutout to them for treating us to a fantastic lunch at Umaqita!
After lunch, hubby and I moved to The Breeze BSD. He had another appointment scheduled to meet with Sean, Juan and his father, as he is currently mentoring them for Bisnesia. Since that group was then heading into a more intense meeting with venture capitalists, I had about two hours to kill.
Rather than sitting in a cafe, I decided to explore. I set off around 3:30 PM to walk around the BSD Green Belt, planning to stroll until they finished up around 5:30.
The best part about committing to slow walking is noticing things you’d usually zip past in a car. Okay, check this out: right behind the main BSD parking area, there’s a massive river. And right there on the banks? Someone was herding water buffalo while casually fishing in the creek! It felt completely rural, not at all like we were surrounded by shopping malls. The scenery was just gorgeous, too. There were bursting marigolds and bougainvillea flowers of every imaginable color blanketing the gardens and framing the bridges.
By the time I finished my loop, the VC meeting was still going strong. So, I grabbed a fresh juice, found a spot by the edge of the lake, and just sat down to watch the sunset hiding behind the clouds. It was the perfect way to recharge after all that walking. I also saw a flock of swans going here and there on the lake.
Unfortunately it started to drizzle but thankfully, hubby finished up his meeting, and we headed straight back to the apartment. I was absolutely exhausted. It was a "good tired," though. I was even too tired for dinner, still feeling quite full from that giant juice, so I skipped it entirely. Heading to bed early tonight!
