Hello, world!
It feels a little surreal to open this blog dashboard again. I can’t believe it’s been eight whole months since my last post. Time flew by so fast that this place almost started collecting digital dust.
If you were to ask me where I’ve been for the past eight months... the short answer is: everywhere, doing everything, all at once.
A Whirlwind of Chaos and Adventures
Life lately has felt like a high-speed rollercoaster without a pause button. So much was happening simultaneously, and the pace barely let up:
Moving Cities & Changing Apartments: Packing up my entire life, relocating to a central city, and settling into a new apartment closer to our daughter's university.
The One-Month Sorting Marathon: Spending an entire month sorting through boxes, decluttering, and unpacking until the new place finally felt like home.
Major Family Milestones: Both of my daughters started university this year! One has already begun her classes at KKI UI (International Special Class at Universitas Indonesia), and the other is preparing to fly out to UK next month.
Mountains of Paperwork: Between university admissions, visa applications, international student logistics, and my own work documents, I thank hubby and his AI ability to get it all done!
Traveling Here and There: Java roadtrip, Bandung, Puncak, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Disney Cruise! Some for work, some to check my properties, but most of them are for fun :))
It wasn't that I didn't want to write. But amidst the chaos, whenever a spare moment finally popped up, my brain only had enough bandwidth to collapse on the couch and rest. The urge to write stayed trapped as drafts in my head.
"Writing isn't just about finding the time; it's about having the mental space to process life."
Reclaiming My Time
Today, I finally decided to hit the brakes.
I deliberately claim my morning, and sat down in front of the laptop in my balcony while enjoying sunrise. No pending paperwork, no boxes left to unpack, no urgent flight prep, and no work notifications blowing up my phone. Just me, my fingertips on the keyboard, and fresh air to breathe.
Getting back to writing feels like coming home after a long, exhausting journey. It’s the kind of me-time I didn't realize I was starving for; a quiet corner where I can just exist without any demands or formal expectations.
What's Next?
I’ve accumulated so many stories, lessons, life transitions, and weird little moments over the last eight months, and I can't wait to share them with you bit by bit. Expect everything from travel stories and moving survival tips to the emotional rollercoaster of sending kids off to college.
To anyone who’s still checking in on this space: thank you for waiting. It feels so good to be back!
Catch you in the next post!
Cheers,
