I love Monday! Seriously, I’m not lying.
My Monday morning was super slow and relaxing. I actually got to take my time with my morning rituals: praying, reading my Bible, and doing some handwritten journaling. After that, I hit the gym and treated myself to the sauna, jacuzzi, and a cold plunge. So refreshing!
Afterward, my husband, my youngest daughter, and I grabbed lunch together before she headed off to campus. We just ate at the warteg near our apartment. It’s always delicious, super cheap, and you get free sweet iced tea! What more could you ask for?
When I got back to the apartment, it was time to face reality: unboxing over a dozen packages that had been piling up. Ugh, honestly, unboxing is my least favorite chore. Usually, my eldest daughter is the one who excitedly opens them, but since she’s currently staying at her grandparents' house, I had to do it myself.
Later in the afternoon, the Cleansheet ranger came over to deep clean the entire apartment. Every single corner was left fresh, spotless, and sparkling clean. It felt so good! He tackled the two bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, the bedrooms, my workspace... literally everything.
As it got closer to evening, I made sure to carve out some time to read during the golden hour right before sunset. I sat on my favorite bench by the poolside and continued reading Limerence. And, as usual, I ended up dozing off. Hahaha.
After sunset, my husband and I went to pick up our youngest from campus since her classes ended pretty late. It gave us the perfect excuse to grab dinner at Javatoscana Resto. You know my main reason? To continue reading Living Sacrifice by Dato' Sri Tahir provided there. Such a good read!
Like always, I ordered my favorite capcay, while my husband and daughter shared a pizza. By the time we finished eating, I had finished another chapter of the book. I’ve only completed two chapters so far, so the rest will have to be saved for our next visit!
See, how can I not love Monday? :)
